< little mr. j >

A couple of months ago, my dear friends welcomed home their first child. They asked me to come over and take some family pictures for them. I had so much fun! This baby was so sweet, and mom and dad were amazingly easy to photograph. It's no surprise because they are both beautiful people, but usually adults are a little less natural in front of the camera. But these two did great. And little baby J was so beautiful. I forget how close to heaven you feel when you're around a newborn. There's really nothing quite like it in this world.

< spring time fun >

I think Spring is finally here! Yesterday my friend and I took our kids to the park and I shot some pictures. We have baby girls the same age with the same name, so I'm determined to get them to be best friends. I had a lot of fun shooting her sweet son and two daughters. I look forward to taking your Easter pictures!

< wolfe-tingey wedding >

This is really just for my own "portfolio" of sorts, but I wanted to post pictures from my friends' wedding back in December. They were so much fun to photograph, and I was grateful that they trusted me to take their pictures for them. I learned a lot. Weddings are a lot of work! Despite the pressure, I had a lot of fun. And what a beautiful family.

Oh, and let me comment on the gorgeous bride. She has the most beautiful hands! I couldn't stop taking pictures of her hands. Just the way she carries them, and holds her son's hand, and reaches for her new husband. Beautiful hands on a beautiful person. Really. I love her.

< starting out >

I've decided that it was time to share some of my love for my Canon without cluttering up my family blog with random pictures and pictures I take for other families. So here is the beginning of my life journey through my camera lens. Feel free to comment and tell me what you think of my pictures. Good and bad! I am totally open to constructive criticism ... and compliments!

Because spring has finally arrived, we decided to go for a walk at a nearby park and I stopped and took some pictures of the trees, other plants, and other things that grabbed my attention. Of course that includes my cute little family.
